This privacy policy describes how the URL Query Parameter Appender browser extension ("the Extension") handles user data.

    Summary: The Extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All data stays on your device or within your browser's sync storage.
  

Data Collection

The Extension does not collect any personal data. Specifically, we do not collect:

Browsing history
Search queries
Personal information
Cookies or tracking data
IP addresses
Any form of analytics or telemetry

Data Storage

The Extension stores only the following data that you explicitly provide:

Hostname mappings: The hostnames you configure and their associated query parameters
Comments: Optional comments you add to describe each mapping
Enabled/disabled status: Whether each mapping is active or inactive

This data is stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage API. If you are signed into your browser, this data may be synchronized across your devices through your browser's sync feature. This synchronization is handled entirely by your browser and is subject to your browser's privacy policy.

Data Transmission

The Extension does not transmit any data to external servers. All functionality operates entirely within your browser. The Extension does not make any network requests except for the URL modifications it performs as part of its core functionality (appending query parameters to URLs you visit).

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.

Permissions

The Extension requires certain browser permissions to function:

Storage: To save your hostname-to-parameter mappings
DeclarativeNetRequest: To modify URLs by appending your configured query parameters
Host permissions: To apply URL modifications to the hostnames you specify

These permissions are used solely for the Extension's core functionality and not for data collection.

Data Deletion

You can delete all stored data at any time by:

Removing individual mappings through the Extension's interface
Uninstalling the Extension (this removes all locally stored data)
Clearing the Extension's data through your browser's settings

Children's Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
